Privacy Policy
Last Updated:
Welcome to DriveKeep. Protecting your personal data is
our top priority. This privacy policy informs you about how we collect, process, and protect your data,
particularly in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Responsible Party
The person responsible for data processing in this app is:
Julius Hackel
Albert-Schweitzer-Straße 13
97941 Tauberbischofsheim, Germany
E-Mail:
j.hackel.digital@gmail.com
2. Types of Data Collected
DriveKeep is designed to process your data primarily locally on
your device. No automatic synchronization with an external cloud takes place.
- User Interactions: Information about your vehicles,
refuels, and maintenance is entered by you and stored locally in a database on your device.
- Media Content: When you import photos (e.g., fuel
receipts) or PDF documents, the app accesses this data. This remains under your control on your device.
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR): The app uses
technologies for text recognition from images. This processing takes place locally on your device to
protect your privacy.
- Technical Data: We collect basic information such as
the operating system, device type, and app version to ensure the stability of the app.
3. Permissions and Access
The app requests certain permissions that are necessary for the core functions:
- Storage Access: Required to access files, images,
and PDFs that you want to import into the app for management.
- Camera: Required to take photos directly from the
app.
- Notifications: Allows the app to load schedules in
the background to remind you of maintenance or appointments.
- In-App Purchases: Required for the billing of
premium features via the Google Play Store.
4. Third-Party Services and Advertising
To keep the app advertiser-funded and functional, we work with the following third parties:
- Google AdMob: We use Google Ads to display
advertising. This may involve processing of advertising IDs and other device information. These data are
transmitted to Google, which may involve transfer to third countries (e.g., USA).
- Google Play Billing: For the purchase of in-app
features, data is transmitted to the Google Play Store.
You can restrict the use of advertising IDs in the device settings of your mobile phone.
5. Data Transfer to Third Countries
By using services like Google AdMob, data is transmitted to countries outside the EU (especially the USA). We
rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission to ensure an appropriate level of data
protection.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data stored about you.
- Correction of incorrect data.
- Deletion of your data (by deleting the app or manually deleting within the app).
- Restriction of processing.
- Objection to processing for advertising purposes.
Contact us for corresponding requests at the email address provided above.
7. Security
We use technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access. Since the data is stored locally on
your device, the responsibility for device security (e.g. display lock, password protection) lies with you.
